WAX ON ART
Mary Dargan
Artist
I grew up as "not the artist in the family," and so I believed. Until one day I picked up a camera and began to breathe differently. I mean, I really breathed. Fast forward to winning third place in my first three juried art shows. Things had changed. The biggest change was that I realized that the creative process is, for me, somewhat like air and water - essential. While creating, I am the most me. As I discovered first with the camera and later with paint (and torches and other interesting tools of the trade), while making art I breathe from the soul. In... Out... Deeply.
